Viborg Idrætshøjskole is a Danish folk high school (højskole) with a focus on sports.
Young people from all over Europe and the world live together on our campus in Viborg (Jutland) for half a year or a full year. There is no homework, no grades and no exams. Instead, you build your own timetable from more than 60 subjects: from CrossFit, football, climbing and kayaking to surfing, yoga and American football. On top of that come practical subjects such as ceramics and guitar, as well as leadership and sports psychology. If you like, you can earn certificates, e.g. as a kayak or climbing instructor, a diving certificate or training in sports massage.
Our facilities include a swimming pool and the largest climbing wall in the Nordic region. In the autumn you can join trips to e.g. the Philippines or Uganda.
